Return and Refund Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026

This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made through www.delicaterebel.com.au and any other sales channel operated by Delicate Rebel.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product has a major fault, is unsafe, is not of acceptable quality, is significantly different from its description, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. This may include a repair, replacement, refund or another remedy depending on the circumstances.

Return authorisation required

Please contact us at ainsley@delicaterebel.com.au before returning any item. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.

When contacting us, please include your order number, full name, a description of the issue and clear photos where relevant.

Made-to-order and custom boots

Unless clearly stated otherwise, all Delicate Rebel boots are made to order and created especially for each customer after an order is placed.

Because made-to-order and custom boots are produced specifically for you, we do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for:

·         change of mind

·         incorrect shoe size selection

·         incorrect calf height, calf width or measurement selection

·         incorrect information, measurements or approvals provided by the customer

·         colour expectations caused by screen settings, lighting, photography, editing or device display differences

·         natural leather or material variation

·         event cancellation, change of event date or failure to order within enough time

·         delays where the order remains within the estimated or advised production timeframe

·         preference changes after production has started

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if the product is faulty or fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

Natural leather, colour and custom variation

Our Premium boots are made using genuine leather and individual materials. Leather is a natural product, not a man-made uniform material. Natural differences may occur in grain, texture, tone, markings, scars, creases, softness, finish and colour.

Due to the custom and hand-finished nature of our products, slight differences may also occur in embroidery, stitching, pattern placement, leather panels, lining, sole finish, heel finish and overall appearance.

Colours shown on our website, social media, advertising, mock-ups, design references or photographs may appear different in real life due to lighting, photography, editing, screen settings and device displays.

These natural and custom-made characteristics are part of the product and are not considered faults unless the item fails to meet consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

Sizing, measurements and fit

Customers are responsible for carefully selecting their shoe size, calf height, calf width and any other sizing or measurement options before ordering.

Any sizing guides, advice or recommendations provided by us are general guidance only. Final size selection remains the responsibility of the customer.

If you are unsure about sizing, please contact us before placing your order. Once production has started, changes may not be possible and may incur additional costs if they can be made.

Ready-to-ship and non-custom items

For eligible ready-to-ship, in-stock or non-custom products, you may request a return or exchange within 14 days of the invoice date, provided the item is approved for return and is:

·         unworn, unused, unwashed and unmarked

·         in original saleable condition

·         returned with all original tags, labels, packaging and boxes

·         returned safely packaged so the product and packaging are not damaged in transit

Boots must be unworn, with the sole and leather free from scuffs, marks and damage. Boots must be returned in the original box, with the box protected inside a postal satchel or outer shipping carton. Do not attach tape or postage labels directly to the product box.

Return shipping costs

For approved change-of-mind returns or exchanges on eligible non-custom products, return postage is the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service, as the customer is responsible for the item until it reaches us.

If a product is confirmed to have a fault or to fail a consumer guarantee, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Exchanges

Exchange requests are subject to approval and product availability. If the requested replacement is unavailable, we may offer a suitable alternative, store credit or another remedy depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If you believe your order has arrived faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 7 days of delivery, so we can review the issue quickly. Later claims will still be assessed in line with Australian Consumer Law where applicable.

We may request photos, videos, measurements, further information and/or return of the item for inspection before confirming a remedy. Some issues may need to be assessed by the manufacturer, supplier or another relevant expert before a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy is confirmed.

If the issue is minor, we may offer a repair or other suitable remedy. If the issue is major under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.

Processing time

Once an approved return is received, we will inspect the item and aim to process the return, exchange or refund within 14 business days. Refund timing may vary depending on your bank, card provider, payment processor or original payment method.

Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

Purchases from stockists or third-party retailers

If you purchased a Delicate Rebel product from a stockist, retailer, market, event or third-party website, please contact the place of purchase directly. Their return process may apply, while your Australian Consumer Law rights remain unchanged.
